Welcome to The Garden Library
Have you ever wanted to chill in a garden and read?
A special kind of earthy connection is made by surrounding yourself with plants and the environment. It brings a sense of community and belonging, not to mention the plentiful health benefits. Conversely, books and libraries are houses of knowledge. As each page continues to captivate our minds and mold us into brighter people. This project exists as a thematic blend of the two: this is The Garden Library.
The Garden Library is a blog-cast that blends the convenience of podcast audio with the descriptive power of a blog’s written posts.

Writing Style + Audio
The narrative style can best be described as lengthy monologues and imaginative storytelling. Whether you are stepping into a world filled with characters and dialogue, a memory of the past, or an informational narrative, you’ll be experiencing the power of translation.
The Garden Library stems from a place of learning, though our topics can be nuanced and complex, the goal is that anyone could read and leave with something new. This is accomplished through the magic of translation, translating niche and varied concepts into bite sized chunks. Not straying too far away from the pursuit of knowledge, nor getting too lost in the ivory tower, every page of The Garden Library aims to stand on its own and be digestible regardless of the readers background. If you ever find yourself wanting to more, the research that goes into every page is cited and can be found pinned in the comment section.
But this wouldn’t be a blog-cast, without audio. So you can expect each page to be in one of the two formats: written or audio. Audio format will have the most personality, hearing directly the narrative as it was intended to be told. The pronunciations, emphasis, and subtext all become clearest when told in the voice of their creator.
The tradeoff of audio is that visuals and practical inserts are only available in written form. Which means images, links, and further discussion in the comment section will only be found in written form. So feel free to use pages, audio episodes, or both as seen fit.
Who am I?
I am your host The Librarian, though many of you will know me as Michael. I am the head author and speaker of this library. You can assume all managerial duties, communication, research, all of the tasks needing to be done in this digital library, will be taken care of by me.
However, I am not alone. Occasionally, pages will be written and even voiced by community members. These special readers, friends, or colleagues will be given full reign to create within this platform.
In such cases, these pages will be authored by the amorphous Groundskeeper. All the structures will still apply to these pages, just anticipate drastically different subject matter and even style. The Garden Library is my project, but it equally belongs to all of you who lend an ear, eye, or keyboard.
Lastly, I ask you to share this space with anyone interested.
This is an ever-growing community, and I hope you’ll consider adding to the discussion of these topics.
If you like what you see subscribe for free, and if you want to support for just $5.80 you can help fund this project.
I hope we can become your newest and most beloved library card. Thank you for reading and as always—
Until the next page unfolds.
